RtI

So I've been battling for the last few weeks with the RtI process. Well actually I haven't been battling with the process, I've been battleing with the teachers in the process. I've had teachers dump tons of referral forms on me like some how I'm going to magically change things for them because I'm the RtI manager. I don't think that they understand that the RtI process actually means THEY are the ones that make plans, implement interventions, and record progress. I should only get the referral forms for students when their teachers have done everything they can. At the very least if they're going to dump a kid on me they should take the time to correctly fill out the form, instead of giving me an incomplete form, which I then have to return to them a couple of times to get the info filled out, and then have them coming and complaining to me that I'm not doing anything to hep that student.
